What we install
Upblast exhaust fan
New and replacement rooftop upblast fans, sized to your hood and duct.
Hinge kit
NFPA 96 requires upblast fans to be hinged so they can be tilted open for cleaning and inspection. We add them to fans that do not have one.
Grease containment
Grease boxes and rooftop containment that catch the grease your fan throws off, so it does not damage your roof.
Curb adapter
Adapters that let a new fan sit on your existing roof curb when the sizes do not match.
When to replace instead of repair
- The fan housing is rusted, cracked or bent
- The motor keeps failing
- Replacement parts are no longer made
- Your menu or equipment changed and the fan can no longer keep up
- The fan has no hinge and cannot be opened for cleaning
How installation works
Site survey
We go up on the roof, measure the curb and duct and look at what your hood needs to pull.
Written quote
You get a quote with the fan we recommend and everything included.
Installation
We schedule the work after hours or on your slowest day to keep downtime short.
Test and clean up
We check the airflow at the hood, make sure the fan opens on its hinge and clean up.
Common questions
Do I have to close for an installation?
We plan the work around your hours, usually after you close, so you lose as little service time as possible.
Is a hinge kit really required?
Yes. NFPA 96 requires upblast fans to be hinged so the fan can be opened for cleaning and inspection. Many older fans were installed without one.
Can you match my existing fan?
Usually. We measure your curb and duct and choose a fan that fits, adding a curb adapter if needed.
Do you remove the old fan?
Yes. We take down the old fan and haul it away as part of the job.
